The North American International Auto Show today announced it will move its reimagined indoor and outdoor show, originally planned for summer 2021, to Sept. 28 – Oct. 9, 2021.

Die Auto Show Detroit zieht ab 2021 in den Sommer um. Die erste sommerliche North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) soll vom 19. bis 26. Juni die Tore des Cobo Centers für die Öffentlichkeit öffnen. In der Woche vorher werden bereits unter anderem Journalisten und Fachbesucher eingelassen. Bislang fand die NAIAS traditionell im Januar statt. Durch den neuen Sommertermin wollen die Veranstalter die Messe auf das Außengelände des Cobo Centers ausweiten und unter anderem Demonstrations- und Probefahrten ermöglichen.

• AutoMobili-D Powered by PlanetM – Tuesday, June 15 to Thursday, June 17: Innovators showcase new ideas to automakers and suppliers.
• Industry Preview – Wednesday, June 16 to Thursday, June 17: Engineers and designers study new vehicles for competitive information.
• Charity Preview – Friday, June 18: Massive event raises millions for local charities.
• Public Show – Saturday, June 19 to Saturday, June 26
